Terms of Service

1. What this covers

These Terms govern use of CanyonAI's machine-payable web services — including the PDF Engine (pdf.canyonai.io: PDF generation, URL-to-PDF scraping, PDF text extraction, site audits) and any other services published on canyonai.io or its subdomains (the "Services"). By calling a paid endpoint or paying for a call, you agree to these Terms.

2. Who may use the Services

• Any person, software agent, or organization that can pay per call. No account is required.
• You must be at least 18 years old or use the Services under the direction of an adult who accepts these Terms.
• You are responsible for all calls made with your payment credentials.

3. Payment

• Services are priced per call as published at the time of the request (see llms.txt and each service's pricing tool).
• Machine payments settle in USDC on the Base network via the x402 protocol. Payment is verified before the service executes.
• Card payment, where offered, is processed by Stripe. Card prices and terms are shown at checkout.
• A call that fails after verified payment issues a free retry token (valid 1 hour) or, if a retry also fails, a signed refund challenge you can present to the x402 facilitator. This is the complete remedy for failed calls.
• Prices may change at any time; the price quoted in a payment challenge is the price you pay for that call.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Services to generate, host, or distribute illegal content, malware, or material that infringes others' rights;
• Probe, scan, or attack systems you do not have authorization to test (this includes using the site-audit service against systems where such testing is restricted by law or contract);
• Attempt to bypass payment verification, exceed purchased rates, or abuse free retry mechanisms;
• Use the Services in violation of applicable sanctions or export controls.
• Target private, internal, or access-controlled systems with the URL-scraping or audit features. The Services are for public URLs only.

5. Service availability & changes

The Services are provided on Cloudflare's network with no uptime guarantee. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. Paid calls in progress at time of change are honored under the terms quoted to them.

6. Outputs and no warranty

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Generated PDFs, audit reports, and extraction outputs are informational and may contain errors. You are responsible for verifying outputs before relying on them, and for determining whether your use case is appropriate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CanyonAI's total liability arising from the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the affected calls in the 30 days preceding the claim. CanyonAI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data.

8. Your data and content

You retain rights to content you submit. You grant CanyonAI a limited license to process that content solely to deliver the requested call. See the Privacy Policy for data handling and retention.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, abuse, or payment fraud. You may stop using the Services at any time.

10. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at CanyonAI's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where local law grants you a different mandatory forum.
